About me

I graduated in Philosophy from the University of Pavia (Italy) and then I moved to the UK to continue my academic and professional development.

Philosophical enquiry has been at the root of my curiosity for humanity and personality development. Indeed, the passion for existence and its givens – death, freedom and responsibility, isolation – (Yalom, 1980) has encouraged me to move from philosophical  enquiry to personal analysis where I appreciated the awe and complexity of the human psyche. From this place of enquiry, I started my professional development as a psychotherapist.

I am a qualified Psychotherapist and Psychotherapeutic Counsellor in Transactional Analysis (CTA-P). I trained in London (UK) in transactional analysis and here I started my professional journey in this field. I then moved abroad (France and Switzerland) and integrated other therapeutic and cultural frameworks into my practice.

I embrace the Transactional Analysis philosophical assumptions:

  • People are OK.
  • Everyone has the capacity to think.
  • People decide their own destiny, and these decisions can be changed.

I believe that continuous personal and professional development and ethics are essential to my practice. I adhere to the United Kingdom Council for Psychotherapy (UKCP), and European Association for Transactional Analysis (EATA) code of ethics. I am committed to my development by attending further training and workshops, discussing clinical cases with colleagues and committing to regular supervision. I consider personal therapy an essential place for growth and developing potentials and therefore an asset in both personal and professional development.

I have experience of working as Trainee Psychotherapist in the public sector for people who experience feeling stuck due to psychological distress or challenging life events. I worked at the Metanoia Counselling and Psychotherapy Service, Richmond Counselling and Psychotherapy Service and volunteered at 96 Harley Street supporting women within the criminal justice system to access counselling and therapy support. I have my private practice in the UK (London) and France (Ferney-Voltaire) / Switzerland (Geneva).

I offer counselling and therapy in English and Italian.
